Claromentis is written in PHP programming language and can be deployed on the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) platform. However, it fully supports Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Microsoft SQL Server database management software.
As an open-source, extendable solution it offers considerable advantages:
- The customer’s own developers can write applications within the Claromentis Framework to provide specific functionality
- There is no lock-in to proprietary environments
- The solution is commercially supported by Claromentis and our partners
- Cost is kept down be leveraging extensive functionality provided by the open source community.
Where a customer has bespoke needs, individual to their own business environment, Claromentis can recruit and manage project based developers to work on providing exact functionality required. The client is always involved in the specifications, but in developing, testing and integrating Claromentis can, if required, provide a complete project based solution.
For those customers with in house PHP developers, or a relationship with a development firm they prefer to use, Claromentis makes the API fully available. This allows code to be written that creates pages within the templater and accesses core functionality such as the permission system.
